Mission Statement

The Legal Practice Committee of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (the “Committee”) offers a forum for practicing lawyers with an interest in the Asia-Pacific region to interact with each other on matters including:

• The practice of law
• Professional development
• Law firm management

Our Committee aims to foster the exchange of knowledge, experience, and best practices among legal professionals across jurisdictions. We explore evolving trends, innovative strategies, and the practical challenges faced by lawyers in a rapidly changing legal environment.

Through panel discussions, joint sessions, and interactive programming, we promote professional growth and thought leadership on topics that shape the future of legal practice, including mental health, talent retention, innovation, and legal operations.

The Committee has presented a number of informative panel discussions at past IPBA Annual Conferences, including:

• “Automating Legal Processes: The New Face of Legal Practice” (Chicago 2025, with the Next Gen Committee)
