Mission Statement
In a global economy where companies transact business across international borders and employ multi-national workforces, employment and immigration issues have become more complex and compelling. Regardless of his/her area of specialization, every lawyer and inhouse counsel is bound to confront employment and immigration issues in his/her practice: for example, a transactional lawyer advising a client on doing business in a foreign country or an environmental lawyer hired to develop a major construction project overseas will be remiss not to counsel the client on employment law issues affecting its workforce. The Employment & Immigration Law Committee provides a forum for its members to learn about legal developments and latest trends in employment and immigration laws of various jurisdictions.
Our Committee
At the IPBA's annual conferences, the Committee invites distinguished lawyers from across the globe to discuss and present on relevant, cutting-edge topics.
With members from all over the world, the Committee also provides an avenue for lawyers and legal counsel to network and exchange ideas.
