Dear [[first_name]] [[last_name]] Esq.,

Hello from the IPBA on this final day of October!

This month was one of contrasting celebrations around the world: in some countries, the darkness of Halloween was playfully celebrated, while in others the light of Diwali was celebrated. We hope that you enjoyed the month in the way you wished!

With only two months left in the year, soon we will be entering into year-end holiday celebrations. During this time, there is still much to do, and IPBA is actively holding events and engaging in other matters. Read on below for the latest news.

IPBA Membership News

  • IPBA membership is now over 1,600! We are getting closer to our goal of 1,800 members, but we still have a long road ahead. Thank you to all of you who have reocmmended the IPBA to your collegues and business associates. Remember that any new members who join now can enjoy membership until December 31, 2017.
  • Thank you to those members who have contacted the IPBA Secretariat expressing an interest to participate in the teleconference to officially approve the audited financial report for 2015. (The unaudited report was approved at the Annual General Meeting in Kuala Lumpur on April 16, and now it is necessary to approve the audited report in order to comply with Singapore law.) Contact the IPBA Secretariat if you'd like to attend the call to be held on Friday, November 18, 16:00 Japan Time. We will send dial-in information and more details to all of those who register to participate ahead of time. Thank you for your cooperation.
  • Membership renewal season will begin in November. We will send out notices by e-mail and a paper invoice to all members whose memberships expire at the end of this year.
  • Submissions for the IPBA Journal, both articles and Members' Notes, are accepted until November 10th. Contact the Publications Committee with any questions.
