There is only one more month left to pay your IPBA dues for 2016!
The final deadline for payment is March 31st. We want to keep all of you with us! Remember that your membership dues must be paid for 2016 in order to take advantage of the cheaper conference registration rate.

IPBA Annual Meeting and Conference in Kuala Lumpur, April 13-16, 2016

The conference kicks off with several receptions the night of April 13th at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, where fabulous food, drink, and company await you! There will be a reception for New Members and IPBA Scholars hosted by the Membership Committee and the IPBA Scholarship Committee; a reception hosted by the Women Business Lawyers Committee; and a Welcome Reception hosted by the organizing committee. All delegates are welcome at all of the receptions!
On April 14th, the conference gets down to business with the Opening Ceremony and Plenary Sessions in the morning, followed by IPBA Committee sessions in the afternoon.

IPBA Scholars 2016
The IPBA Scholarship Program brings five to ten lawyers from around the world to attend the Annual Conference each year. The program was begun by Past President M.S. Lin, and the tradition is being carried on by a group of generous lawyers from Japan who provide financial support via the Japan Fund, with additional support from the IPBA Vancouver 2014 Host Committee. Those chosen for the Scholarship Program receive a conference fee waiver, hotel accommodation, roundtrip airfare, and a 3-Year Term Membership in the IPBA. This year, nine Scholars were chosen from close to 40 applicants in the Young Lawyers and Lawyers from Developing Countries categories.

IPBA Best Paper Prize
The IPBA Best Paper Prize will be held again this year! If you are an IPBA member attending the conference in Kuala Lumpur, you are eligible to enter your original paper on a legal topic of your choice. The rules can be found HERE. Deadline for submissions is March 25th, so get your entry in now to the IPBA Secretariat!
