The IPBA 25th Annual Meeting and Conference in Hong Kong starts in less than one week! Join us May 6-9 for what will certainly be an event to remember. Close to 1,000 delegates have already signed up, but it's never too late to register!
If you would like to register and need your IPBA Membership Number, you no longer have to wait for the Secretariat to reply to an e-mail. Just log on to the Member Only Section of the IPBA Web Site and choose "My Profile". The "ID" next to your photo and next to the "My Profile" heading is your IPBA Membership Number.
Some of the highlights of this year's conference include:
Plenary Session, May 7, 8:30-12:15: Divided into two parts, the first half entitled "Vision for the Future - the Playing Field" will feature business leaders who will explore how the economic/business/political/regulatory environment will look beyond 2015. In the second half, "Vision for the Future - the Legal Team", legal experts will offer insights into how the legal profession must respond and adapt in order to survive and prosper against this changing landscape.
IPBA Committee Sessions, May 8-9 from 8:30am: IPBA's 23 specialist committees have put together dozens of educational sessions that are sure to give you the insight and information you need to serve your clients. Over the course of three days, you can learn the latest information on topics such as Arbitration; Cross-Border Investment; Energy and Environmental Law; Immigration and Employment Law, and much more! Speed Dating, May 6, 16:00-18:00: Exchanging business cards is so "yesterday". IPBA has its eye on the future with the very first IPBA Speed Dating event. Find your perfect professional match!
Gala Dinner, May 8, 18:30-23:00: the dress code is "black tie" or "national dress", so there will surely be some great people watching to be had. Oh, yes, and the dinner and entertainment will be superb, as the 25th Anniversary of the IPBA will be celebrated!
Annual General Meeting (AGM), May 9 10:30-12:00: All IPBA members are invited to attend this meeting, at which the IPBA Officers report on the activities of the association over the past year as well as announce plans for the upcoming year. This is a chance for members to make their voices heard, too, as anyone is welcome to step up to the microphone and make comments or ask questions of the Officers.
