Dubai 2015
The IPBA Mid-Year Council Meeting and Regional Conference was held in Dubai, UAE, October 23-26, 2015.
IPBA Officers and Council members discussed the business of the association at meetings held the first three days, while the final day was host to a Regional Conference on arbitration. Close to 100 delegates attended this first-ever IPBA event to be held in the Middle East. We hope it's not the last!

IPBA Nominating Committee Meeting
The IPBA Nominating Committee consists of the IPBA President from two years past, who acts as the Chair of the committee; the Immediate Past President; the current President; and the Secretary-General. Invited "observers" are the President-Elect; the Deputy Secretary-General; the Committee Coordinator; and the Deputy Committee Coordinator.
This important Committee vets candidates to take leadership positions from immediately following the next Annual Conference. For the 2015 Nominating Committee, they began serious deliberations from May 2015, holding numerous conference calls over the summer to make their decisions prior to the Mid-Year Council Meeting. The Council ratified the decisions at the Mid-Year Council Meeting, and the nominees will be formally elected at the Annual General Meeting in Kuala Lumpur, after which their terms begin.
