IPBA Event During India ADR Week

In a first-of-its-kind event, the IPBA collaborates with the MCIA for a session during the upcoming India ADR Week (9-14 October 2023), being organised across three cities, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi.

The MCIA or the Mumbai Centre for International Arbitration is one of India’s premier international arbitral institutions for resolution of commercial disputes.

The session will be held on Friday, 13 October 2023 from 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. at the Oberoi, New Delhi.


Details of session- 

  • 2:00 p.m. -2:10 p.m.- IPBA Introduction- Ms. Manjula Chawla, At-Large India Council member – IPBA & Co-Founding Partner, Phoenix legal
  • 2.10 p.m. – 3:05 p.m.- Session 1-  “Judicial intervention in enforcement of awards”. This panel will broadly cover-

a.    Diluting judicial intervention through recent amendments to the arbitration act – are we on the right track?

b.    Widening new-age scope of public policy in enforcement of foreign awards - issues and challenges
