IPBA Membership News

• The IPBA Secretariat is still accepting payments for the 2018 membership year. The final date that you can update your membership for this year is March 31, 2018.
• Remember that your dues must be paid in order to take advantage of the cheaper IPBA Member rates for our annual conference and other IPBA and IPBA-supported events!
• The IPBA Journal March 2018 issue is being prepared at this very moment and will be mailed to all members at the end of March.
• It's already time for us to start thinking about the printed Membership Directory! We will include contact information for everyone who is a member between April 1, 2017 and March 31, 2018, so be sure to check your contact information in your profile on the IPBA web site to make sure it's current.

This month we have the latest on IPBA committee programming for Manila as well as new options the Manila host committee has created to get to know your IPBA committees better. In addition to organizing numerous interesting panels in Manila, each of the committees now also has a designated time and room to discuss plans for upcoming committee activities.  For all the details on the panels planned, check out the “Program” tap at the top of the webpage https://www.ipba2018.com/.  The page you reach will show you the offerings for each day. To the right of that page, there is also a button labelled “COMMITTEE MEETINGS” that will show you when and where the various IPBA committees are meeting. We hope you will take advantage both of the interesting discussions IPBA committees will offer as well as the chance to meet with your fellow committee members to offer your ideas for topics and gatherings the committees should tackle next!

The IPBA Scholarship Committee has arranged a special day for the seven Scholars who have been chosen to attend the Manila Conference. You can find more details of their background and experience on the IPBA web site. IPBA Leadership Activities

Things are slowing down for President Denis McNamara as his term winds down. President-Elect Perry Pe has already been invited to several events already for 2018, so he is sure to be as busy jetsetting around the world to represent the IPBA. We will keep you informed of his travels and activities during his term.

Only 13 days until the Conference!

• We are getting excited to see many of you in Manila! Be sure to stop by the exhibition area, where in addition to speaking with sponsors of the conference, you will find:
       - The IPBA Secretariat staff, Rhonda Lundin and Yukiko Okazaki
       - The IPBA 2019 Singapore booth: IPBA members can register for Singapore 2019 at the cheapest rate!
• The conference app is now up and running! If you did not receive e-mail notification of the app, contact the conference organizer at delegates@ipba2018manila.com
• Wondering what to pack for Manila? A long-range forecast shows temperatures in the low 30s during the conference, but almost all activities will be held in the air-conditioned comfort of Shangri-La at the Fort. To help in your packing, the dress code for events is as follows:
       - Receptions and Plenary Sessions, and Concurrent Sessions: business attire
       - Gala Dinner: business formal attire
       - Farewell Dinner: business casual attire
