Dear Members,
Greetings from the IPBA! As we wind down the year, we reflect on our accomplishments over the past twelve months: a fantastic Annual Meeting and Conference, this time in Vancouver, Canada this past May; signing of MOUs with Lawasia and the Korean Bar Association; successful Mid-Year Council Meeting and Regional Conferences in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in September; successful local and regional events in Paris, Amsterdam, Vancouver, and Hong Kong; to name just a few.
In 2015, we will bring you even more exciting programs and activities as we continue to work on providing you with improved membership benefits. Don't forget to invite your collegues and business associates to join us, too!

IPBA Membership Dues Payments for 2015
Thank you to those of you who have already paid your dues for 2015! We realize that some of our members can not make payment until the fiscal year and look forward to to hearing from you after the first of the year. If you have questions about how to pay your dues for 2015, please do not hesitate to contact the IPBA Secretariat.
If you renew your membership online, please note that the IPBA web site will be launched over this weekend, December 27/28. The site will have a completely different look and different functions, so don't be afraid that you are logging on to the wrong site! See more details directly below.

IPBA Web Site Renewal
The new and improved IPBA web site will be launched this weekend! See a glimpse of the top page at left. The basic information contained in the current site will still be available, but it will be easier to find and read.
You will be able to access the member Only section using your e-mail address instead of your IPBA membership number; your password is the same as you use now, but if you can't remember it you can change it to anything you'd like with the "Forgot Password?" feature. The site has been made to be easily viewed and accessible on all platforms: PC, tablet, and smart phone.
The current site has been online for over 5 years, so we are excited to bring you this new, vastly improved site. Start using it from December 29th, and please don't hesitate to provide us with your feedback to the IPBA Secretariat or Webmaster.

IPBA Regional Conference
On November 21st, IPBA held a one-day seminar in Amsterdam. The all-day event featured a role-play panel discussion of a Chinese entity purchasing an entity headquartered in Europe. Speakers included experts from China, Hong Kong, and Europe. The event was organized by the IPBA Cross-Border Investment; Energy and Natural Resources; Banking, Finance & Securities; and Anti-corruption and the Rule of Law Committees, with the generous support of HIL Lawyers and Stibbe.

IPBA-supported Event
IPBA was a supporting organization of the IFLR Capital Markets Forum at the JW Marriott in Hong Kong on December 4th. Panel discussions headed by leaders from the banking, corporate, and investment industries, as well as legal firms, focused on the Asian market and also touched on how to break into the US market. Speakers included IPBA's Corporate Counsel Committee Chair Kapil Kirpalani. This was the 10th anniversary of this important event, so if you were not able to attend this time, keep it in mind for next year!
