The Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA), the pre-eminent association of business and dispute resolution lawyers in the Asia-Pacific region, invites you to a reception to mark the visit to Toronto of the IPBA's President-Elect, Mr Lalit Bhasin, and a panel discussion on:
Canadian – Indian Engagement:
Opportunities and Challenges
The panel discussion will focus on how the interaction between the two countries in the political, economic, social and educational arenas has increased dramatically over the last twenty years, not least due to the massive growth in the number of Canadians of Indian descent. The discussion will consider some of the legal and other challenges facing both Canadians wishing to conduct business in India and Indians wishing to conduct business in Canada and a prognosis for the future of bi-lateral relations between the two countries.

IPBA CONFERENCE UPDATE
Mr. Lalit Bhasin, in his capacity as Chair of the Host Committee, will update us on the IPBA's 22nd annual meeting and conference to be held in New Delhi from February 29 to March 3, 2012. The theme for the conference, "Legal Trends, Thoughts and Times", focuses on the opportunities and challenges that lawyers around the world have at present.
